Typically, your skin will look unchanged immediately after your Botox treatment. In some instances, you might notice a minor redness or a small bump where the injections were given. Should a bruise develop, it’s best to keep the area out of the sun until it completely heals.

For the best results and your comfort following the treatment, it’s recommended to avoid any pressure on the treated area for at least one hour and to hold off on applying makeup for the same duration. Additionally, please refrain from engaging in exercise for at least 48 hours and avoid visiting saunas or hammams for the first week after your treatment.

The botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, works by interrupting the communication between nerves and muscles in the forehead. This temporarily inhibits the command to raise the forehead, resulting in a rejuvenated and open appearance. The initial effects of Botox become visible after 3 or 4 days.

Duration of benefits

The effects of Botox typically last for about 3 to 4 months. However, the exact duration can vary widely from person to person, making it challenging to predict precisely how long the benefits will last for each individual. After this period, the Botox gradually fades from the body, allowing the treated muscle to begin contracting again. At this point, you may consider scheduling a new treatment.

For those who have received Botox treatments previously, you may notice that subsequent treatments take effect more quickly and the results last longer. This enhanced response is a common experience among repeat Botox users.
